About

My name is Tim Maude. I am a qualified solution focused hypnotherapy practitioner, having trained at the renowned Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training school, and registered with the National Council for Hypnotherapy.

I am passionate about helping people get their lives back into shape. I am pleased to specialise in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy that looks to solutions to my clients problems, rather than digging up their past. I am also able to use my extensive training in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) to help if needed.

Since taking up hypnotherapy, I have been amazed at the truly dramatic and positive changes that my clients have undergone. It gives me a great thrill to go on a journey with them as they get their lives back on track.

Hypnotherapy

The first time you meet me, we will have an initial consultation. You can tell me a little about yourself and what you want from your time with me. I will describe some of the science that explains how your brain is behaving in a way that is unhelpful to you, and answer any questions you might have.

After the initial consultation, we will meet once a week for hypnotherapy. We will talk things through – talking about your week and how you can move forward. Then you can get nicely relaxed in a therapeutic trance. The trance will give you access to your unconscious mind, which will help you enormously. My clients really enjoy this part.

In trance, you become very relaxed, allowing your unconscious mind to find new pathways and new ways of behaving. You are totally in control and can come out of trance whenever you want to. Most people enjoy the trance so much that they are very happy to stay in it for as long as possible. It is a very relaxing and positive experience.

People ask me how many sessions are needed. With the exception of quitting smoking (which I do in one longish session), my clients vary in how long they want to stay. Solution focused hypnotherapy is generally quicker other forms of therapy, but the time taken varies from a few weeks to a few months.

The therapy does not only happen when you are with me. At the initial consultation, I will also give you a relaxation audio track to listen to every night (when it is time to go to sleep). You may also take away a task to do between sessions. This will also be an important part of the process.

Sessions

Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation (typically 40 minutes), you can tell me what you would like to achieve. We will discuss how hypnotherapy can help. This will help you decide if hypnotherapy is right for you. Cost £40.

Hypnotherapy

Following the initial consultation, we will meet weekly (typically 55 minutes). Our discussion will focus on a positive path forward. For the latter part of each session will enter a pleasant and relaxing trance. Cost £70.

Quit Smoking

A “Quit Smoking” session is a one off – there is no initial consultation session, just a one-off session of up to two hours, so that you can quit immediately. Cost £200 (a fraction of what you are spending each year).

Relaxation Audio

Between sessions, you will listen to a relaxation audio track every night when it is time to go to sleep. This will put you into a light trance and is specially designed to help you process the changes you will be making. Cost – absolutely free.
